About your Shields Township Supervisor
Mr. Fitzgerald serves on the Advisory Board of YouthBuild Lake County, the Board of the United Way of Lake Forest/Lake Bluff and the Teen Advisory Board of the Northern Illinois Council on Alcohol and Substance Abuse. He is a member of the Lake Bluff/Lake Forest Kiwanis Club, and a volunteer with the Irish/American Heritage Center in Chicago and the Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Senior Center. He has also served as a volunteer reader for primary students in the North chicago School District. He was formerly Vice President of the North Chicago Chamber of Commerce. He is a 1984 graduate of Barat College, where he also served as an Alumni Board Director, and holds a graduate certificate for George Washington University's prestigious Washington Representative program in Government Relations. Mr. Fitzgerald has served as Shields Township Supervisor since 1995.
